Weekends in Eden
I’m new to Eden and no one knows I’ve set up a blog about the place. For the time being, I’ll refer to myself as the Eden Bloggess. I’ve been spending a lot of time at Joyce’s Cafe. The owner, Joyce, is into retro vintage clothes and loves her tea cups. I go there for the coffee, which is quite exceptional. There’s also a vast collection of books to read at leisure. During the week, we get busloads of people driving through the town, touring the Victorian Alpine region, taking in the sights. I haven’t been here that long, but I hear fall is the best time of year when the leaves turn and the countryside becomes a glitter of gold, russet brown, orange and red. On weekends, there are the bikers cruising the winding roads. I met a couple of them at The Gloriana. One was a lawyer and the other one ran a marketing agency. Goes to show you can’t judge a book by its cover. I see my coffee’s coming so I better put this away…
