There’s a story floating around Eden about a missed dart throw. I’ve only heard snippets while queueing up to pay at the grocery store “She meant to do it”, sitting here at Joyce’s Cafe, “She has a redhead’s temperament. I hear her brother’s have put away the darts…” I can only assume people are talking about Eddie Faydon – co-owner of The Gloriana. She’s a regular at Joyce’s Cafe, in fact her and Joyce appear to be best friends, or as I heard someone else remark, co-conspirators. So far, it’s been fun joining the dots. I’ve seen them trot down the street to Brilliant Baubles and have since come to the conclusion that Joyce and the owner don’t get along. Yet he too is a regular at Joyce’s. In fact, the moment he sets foot inside the cafe, a coffee is produced and slid along the counter. The transaction always appears to be smooth, but the vibes in the place… the vibes are combustible. Something is definitely going on between those two…
